Judy Mowatt Outreach Ministries (JMOM)

JMOM began in the 1990s after Judy Mowatt learned of urgent needs at a female correctional facility. Partnering with Concerned Women in Action, JMOM hosted “Woman to Woman” fundraising concerts in 2007 and helped secure a standby generator that was installed the following year.

A lasting bond with Bath, St. Thomas led to ongoing outreach: housing support, food assistance, health fairs, and gospel concerts and treats for children. In January 2011, JMOM launched a breakfast program at Bath Primary and Junior High School to help children start the day with a hot, nutritious meal—supporting better focus, improved health, and positive behavioral changes. During COVID-19, JMOM continued supporting families with food packages and tablets for online learning. Today, JMOM is seeking partners to expand support to communities such as Long Bay, Portland.
